positive thoughts please.

Last week my GF, felt a tender and quite painful lump. a few days ago she had a mamogram and an ultrasound.Next week she goes in for a biopsy.Im scared for her... but I am sending out positive energy and lots and lots of prayers.

Right now Im home to do somehouse chores. Haha... right. Im on the computer. I went to wal*mart this morning and got some items we needed and also got most of the stuff for my Halloween costume.Im going to be a smurf since I ahve to work at the cafe that night.Im actually going to be The Breast Cancer Awarerness smurf. I bought a pink beanie today and a blue shirt and actually found some white pants!My friend Jeanie is going to make my tail for me.I think Im going to forgoe the traditional blue smurf tail since Im going to be the breast cancer smurf and go with a pink and white tail.I will be sure to have someone take pictures.

Im waiting for the vet. Got a couple horses with teeth issues, and one of the horses I take care of is dropping weight. Need to have her teeth checked as well... Oy....Think Ill go to the library for awhile... Its quiet there right?

too fast!

I absolutely cannot believe Its August already.....were did this year go?It seems like it was just last september and I was starting a new session with my new students!Too fast I tell yah... Too fast! Six weeks seems like forever!I cannot wait to get back, but I know the horses need a well deserved break.

Last weekend we had our anual fun day horse show at REINS.Its kind of bittersweet for us because it marks the end of the session but it also alows us to show how much our students have progressed throughout the year.Its sad for me because I know I wont be seeing my kids again for 6 weeks until we start again in September .

This year we decided to do something a little bit different with a few of our horses. Uusally we just use a templet that we have to decorate the horses with glitter and glue.This year we decided we were going to paint the horses with finger paints as well as use the glitter and glue.It was so much fun to see the girls get creative in decorating the horses!

It was an amazing two days!Students acomplished goals, like riding completely independant for the first time ever and then getting a blue ribbon on top of it,bonds of friendships were strenghthened, and many, many wonderful memories were created.

I have to get ready for work here soon but I thought I would throw a few more pictures on here from my trip.I know they will be kind of out of order but Its more fun this way I think.Oh yah! Im excited because I finally got my computer screen back to a somewhat normal size and Its not super huge anymore!I know... Its the little things that keep me happy in life...

We had our staff horse camping trip this past week.I couldnt stay the night but ended up at least going for the day, and Im glad I did. Next time Im deffinately staying the whole trip.

sister tatts

I'm itching for new ink. I'm not going to deny it either. I have 5, I'm addicted and I am ready for more. Huney and I take turns getting ink and Its my turn this time This is what I'm getting.(look to the right)~~~~~~~~~~~~>

Ive been thinking about my sister lately that I never got a chance to meet. She was still an infant when she passed away, and she was disabled.She had a congenital heart defect that my son also suffers from, and I believe she also had Down Syndrome a hair lip and a cleft palate.I know we would have gotten along famously and I also know that she is a big part of the reason I feel so passionately about my work at REINS even though she passed away 12 years before I was born.

I was supposed to get my tatt for my pop next, but for some reason I'm just not ready for that one yet.I don't know why, Its just not the right time.I will know when Its the right time. I want to somehow put her name into the Tatt somewhere, and also her life line. You know..the date she was born, and the date that she crossed over. I feel very strongly about this Tatt.I dont get them just to get them, and every one of them has a reason and a meaning behind them.This one will be very special and have some strong emotions and feelings tied to it....

Heavy heart

Hmmm... So much to say, just dont know how to put it into words.I love my job. Honestly.I love all my students and the parents are amazing. This last week I had a run in with one of my parents that left me with a very heavy heart, and huge black cloud over my head that stills there.

I want to think that I handled it like a proffesional,(and that means Im not going to go into details here)and I have been going over it again and again in my mind trying to think how I could have handled it different.I dont think there was anything that I could have done differently.

The encounter left me thinking about my job,and how I treat my students and there families.Should I distance myself more?Do I get too involved?Mabe,but I dont think I want to be different. I think that would change the type of instructor that I am.

Tuesday is a new day. I will start over with a clean slate and just go from there........

Does. Not. Dance

This morning I went to my very first Zumba class. Oh.my. word!It was actually a lot of fun, and this is coming from some one who is very self concious, and does not dance, as my title says.My two girfrinds from the cafe talked me into going, and Im really glad I did, although when we first got going I was looking for the nearest exit.Once I quit worrying about what every one else though of me, I relaxed and had a good time.

I got my plane ticket yesterday for my vacation in June!Im so stinkin excited! My niece is getting married, so Im going to fly back to virgina for the wedding. Ill be gone for about 8 days.Its going to be my first solo vacation since.. well ever. Em and the hubby will be staying behind so now that my shifts are covered I will have to work things out for getting her to school and back.Lots to still think about.

Today has been my first day off in a little over a month. I have been enjoying it greatly!
